The King Arts Complex anniversary fundraising gala presents a diverse tapestry of activities and people coming together to enjoy an evening of reverie where everyone can find space to enjoy the party. This years gala: titled Tapestry is truly a party with a purpose! This event has a tradition that promises a fun-filled night of great music, spirited dancing, exquisite drinks, delicious foods for Columbus' best caterers, outstanding company and loads of support for Complex programs - the real purpose for the party. 21 and over please.
Legends & Legacies
The Legends and Legacies program recognizes the ancestral continuum of the rich and diverse artistry of Americans by paying tribute to regionally & Nationally recognized individuals & artists that have shown their commitment to social justice, human rights and cultural democracy. Their actions have influenced American/World society through philanthropy, community development, policies and the arts.
Our 2007 honorees included Ruby Dee, Mari Evans, Nikki Giovanni, Odetta, Sonia Sanchez, and Val Gray Ward. Our 2008 honorees were Harry Belafonte, Danny Glover, and James Counts Early.
